String Quilt - New Date Added!
Learn the art of string quilting as you piece together scraps of fabric to become a beautiful table runner or quilt. We will provide fabric strips to dig through in class and sew strings (strips) together to make as many 8" squares as possible during our time. We will discuss combining fabrics, sizes of strings, squaring with a ruler, and options for eventual assembling into a finished project. This technique does not require accurate cutting of fabric strips or an accurate 1/4" seam. Your creativity will be the fun of this quilting process. Fabric scraps will be provided in class but you may also bring any of your own scrap fabrics. The more to choose from the more fun it will be.
